Life is better in a group.

At its core, a group is less about what you do and more about who you do it with. We all need each other and that's why we have Groups. Whether you're new to Groups, leading for the first time, or a seasoned leader, there's a place for you!
Imagine a welcoming space where people of all ages, interests, and backgrounds can connect through fun activities or intentional discipleship. That's the beauty of our church's Groups! These flexible groups cater to diverse needs, meeting at various times and locations. Bible studies, marriage groups, coffee meet-ups, cooking or baking, story-time trips to the local Library, sporting events, working out, hiking, jogging, softball, disc golf, photo club, just to name a few.

Here's a breakdown of the steps to get your group up and running:

  1. Seek God's guidance in prayer. Reflect on your passions and skills, then brainstorm an activity or idea that could spark interest among a diverse range of people within the church community.

  2. Submit Your Proposal: Develop a clear proposal outlining your idea. This should include the target audience (e.g., young adults, families with children), the activity format (e.g., book club, sports team, craft circle), and your desired meeting schedule (emphasize flexibility and suggest a monthly cadence as a starting point).

  3. Get Approved: Once the ministry leader approves your idea, they'll help you get listed on the church group catalog.

  4. Background Check & Training: As part of your approval process, membership and a passed background check are required. This can be easily done through Starting Point, and Small Group Leader on-ramping opportunities throughout the year.

  5. Promote & Launch:  Get the word out!  Consider reaching out to friends and sending personal invitations to co-workers who might be interested.

  6. Host Your Event & Keep Going!  Welcome your participants with a warm and inclusive environment. Remember, you're the "salt and light" – fostering a positive space for spiritual growth and connection. After your successful first event,  keep the momentum going by planning future gatherings. If it's an activity based group, use your group's feedback and interests to help move forward.
