DAY 19 | Don't Forget
Scripture: Psalm 103:1-5
Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.
He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.
He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle's!
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
Let all that I am praise the Lord;
may I never forget the good things he does for me.
He forgives all my sins
and heals all my diseases.
He redeems me from death
and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
He fills my life with good things.
My youth is renewed like the eagle's!
Framing:
David's instruction to himself — and to us — is simple: don't forget. Forgetting what God has done is one of the primary reasons trust erodes. This psalm is an act of deliberate remembering, and remembering is an act of worship.
Pray:
Make a list — in prayer, out loud or written — of specific good things God has done for you. Forgiveness. Healing. Moments of rescue. Provisions. Pray this list back to God as praise. Let remembering become trust.
